This is an on going scholarship an opportunity to study in Canada and in the University of British Columbia (UBC) Canada 2017/2018. research and you are either an International Student, a Permanent Resident or a Citizen of Canada, this year’s Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies is worth $30,000 payable at the University of British Columbia Canada.or any of the five university in Canada.


The Canadian Council for Arts, Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies and the University of British Columbia are partnering to offer this mouth-watering scholarships to selected International Students, PR or Citizens.

The scholarship program was actually designed to support advanced education and research at five Canadian universities and the Canada Council for the Arts which make everything easy.

Those to benefit from this study award are students seeking admission into or those enrolled in Health Sciences, Natural Sciences and Engineering, Social Sciences and Humanities.

A minimum of (15 – 20 )students and the lucky one will receive this award of $30,000 per annum and a $2,000 allowance for research-related travel during the 24 months of the scholarship.

 

International Major Entrance Scholarship: To be considered for the IMES, you must

  • Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college)
  • Be an international student who will be studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
  • (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your IMES eligibility.)
  • Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement
  • Apply to UBC by January 15

Outstanding International Student Award: To be considered for an OIS Award, you must

 

  • Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college)
  • Be an international student studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your scholarship eligibility.)
  • Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and strong extracurricular involvement
  • Apply to UBC by January 15

 

International Leader of Tomorrow Award: To be considered for an International Leader of Tomorrow Award, you must

  • Be applying for your first undergraduate degree
  • Be admissible to the first-choice degree you are applying to, including meeting UBC’s English Language
  • Admission Standard
  • Have an excellent academic record (at least an “A” average or equivalent standard)
  • He an international student – neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada – and be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit (student visa)
  • Demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent you from pursuing a UBC degree
    Be entering a UBC undergraduate degree program from a recognized secondary school, college, or other university
